In February 2025, I travelled with a humanitarian convoy organised by the UK charity 'Pickups for Peace'. Driving from the UK through Europe and into Ukraine, I personally witnessed the human cost of the war — not in statistics or headlines, but in the faces of the children left behind.
Standing in a military cemetery in Lviv, surrounded by row upon row of fresh graves, I realised that the challenges facing these children would continue long after the war ends. They need more than temporary aid — they need security, stability, healing, and long-term care.
I returned to the UK determined to act.
Returning to Ukraine in May and October 2025, allowed myself and others to begin building a network of volunteers with the aim of providing long-term welfare support for children affected by war, ensuring they are safe, cared for, and given the chance to rediscover hope.
Our commitment is not limited to emergency relief or short-term assistance. We focus on the years ahead — helping children recover emotionally, physically and socially, with compassion and dignity.
We are now working with several Orphanages and since February have repaired broken showers, supplied bunk beds, replaced broken cookers, supplied warm clothing, educational materials, toys, food and other essential supplies to make the kids lives just that little bit easier.
What Comes Next - And How You Can Help?
I'm heading back to Ukraine again in late February, once more delivering a 4x4 filled with supplies and continuing work with the orphanages, and I could use your help.
How You Can Help?
If you can, please make a small donation today - every £1.00 donated adds up and makes a huge difference to our cause.
Share this page – even if you can’t give right now, spreading the word is an incredible gift.
Together, we can show these children they are not forgotten. Together, we can give them hope, dignity, and the freedom to be children again—even in the middle of a warzone.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me.
I will be video recording my journey in Ukraine and sharing it with you when I return.
